As Bulbshare rapidly accelerates its growth, we are looking for an exceptional Account Executive to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Your role:

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new client development with leading consumer goods and services companies in the US.  You will operate a part of a small Global Sales Team working collaboratively on opportunities from prospecting to close.

The role carries a quota with expectations to meet or exceed targets. You will be expected to plan, approach, and close new business opportunities moving them through each stage of the sales cycle. You will be fed some leads but will need to add to this with proactive sales development and effective account strategies.

To succeed, you will need to be a charismatic new business developer with a consultative sales approach and ideally a proven track-record selling to senior management across insights/research, innovation, and marketing. Experience selling SaaS or other technology platforms is also desirable. You will sweat the details and will obsess over optimizing every piece of the sales cycle. If you are intelligent, persistent, quick-witted, and can clearly communicate our value-proposition while broadening a customer’s perception of its value then you will fit right in!

Key responsibilities:

As Account Executive, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation working with clients, prospects and your Bulbshare teammates
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients by creating trust and confidence at multiple levels within their organizations
  • Articulate and demonstrate the value of our offering through solution-based selling and detailed scoping of use cases / needs and then proposal writing and presentation.
  • Continuously drive pipeline growth and proactively manage deals through every stage to ensure sufficient coverage and rate of sale to deliver your quota.
  • Collaborate with teammates in research, community, and product to ensure new clients are handed over and we remain commercially engaged (e.g. joining monthly / quarterly reviews) to support expansion and renewal.
  • Serve as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement - leverage existing resources, developing new materials, and work with teammates to refine and implement changes to our sales strategy / process.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture of performance, collaboration, and openness.
  • Be an evangelist for the transformative power of community-led growth.

You’ll also appreciate securing a lasting client relationship is more than just a pitch deck and a broad smile – we will arm you with case studies, demos, marketing and the solutioning support needed to succeed.

What we are looking for:

To succeed in this role, you must be driven, proactive, self-motivated and have a confidence and ability to quickly engage prospective clients at senior management level. It is also beneficial to be excited by software as well as being tech-savvy.

  • 4+ years B2B experience in an individual contributor role selling insights or SaaS
  • Proven experience as a sales hunter - initiating client conversations from scratch
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to speak fluently to various level contacts including practitioners, senior managers to executives.
  • Solution selling kills with well-developed influencing and negotiating abilities.
  • Persistent, proactive, and self-motivated, with a hunger to achieve goals.
  • Ambitious and results-oriented sales contributor with proven record of sales performance and future growth potential
  • Exemplary administration, organization, and communication skills
  • A hands-on start-up mentality and entrepreneurial spirit and the ambition to join a fast-growing company and make an impact. It is also beneficial to have an interest in SaaS as well as being tech-savvy.

You will be rewarded with salary + commission earned on every deal you close.  Your potential earnings will be uncapped meaning unlimited earnings are on offer to the right candidate. There will also be the potential to participate in our employee management incentive (stock) scheme after 1 year, subject to performance.
