As Bulbshare rapidly accelerates its growth, we are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Your role:

  • The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth by developing sales pipeline opportunities primarily within FMCG and retail, in both the UK and beyond.
  • The role will have a pure new business focus and will manage the sales cycle from prospecting to close, owning the client and solving their problems through collaboration with their customers.
  • The successful candidate will be a charismatic self-starter with a consultative sales approach and a successful track-record selling to senior management across Insights, Research, Marketing and Category Management areas. Ideally you will have had previous experience selling technology or marketing services.
  • You will sweat the details and will obsess over optimising every piece of the sales cycle. You’ll also appreciate securing a lasting client relationship is more than just a pitch deck and a broad smile – we will arm you with case studies, marketing and customer success support needed to succeed.

Key responsibilities:

As Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing new business opportunities and pipeline with new clients via in-person meetings and calls.
  • Manage the new business sales process through prospecting, qualification, client needs analysis, stakeholder mapping, product demonstration and negotiation to hit quarterly sales quota.
  • Collaborating closely with the Customer Success team, to ensure clients are on-boarded and plans executed once contracts are won.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete information is captured in our sales CRM system and accurate forecasts provided
  • Ensures that market knowledge, operational know-how and best practice is leveraged to operate effectively and be a team player
  • Keeps up to date with industry trends and key prospects and focus on networking opportunities to help win new business.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree educated (preferred)
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Self-starter, with a hunter mentality and hunger to progress career
  • Strong track record of achievement against targets
  • Experience selling to FMCG & retailers across Brand Marketing, Market Research, Category Management, and Consumer Insights functions (essential)
  • Experience selling or working within marketing services or technology (desirable)
