As Bulbshare rapidly accelerates its growth, we are looking for an exceptional Finance Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Your role:

Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team and reporting directly to the CEO the Finance Manager will have responsibility for managing all aspects of the company’s finances from day-to-day financial operations, financial planning and analysis, through to Board and investor reporting relations.

Additionally, this is a leadership role and you’ll comfortable consulting with Heads of Department to help them achieve their objectives, as well as wider responsibility for new initiatives as we invest for growth. You’ll also be commercially strong and will relish the opportunity to advise on how we develop the business, in the right way.

Key responsibilities:

As Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ownership of all budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
  •  Overseeing budgets and ensuring everyone is sticking to them!
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Creation/delivery of monthly board materials and quarterly investor updates
  • Delivering financial analysis to challenge performance and drive profitability
  • Building stronger MI and KPI reporting processes
  • Working with CCO to ensure accurate revenue reporting
  • Partnering with Founder, Heads of Department, Board and Investors
  • Managing relationship with outsourced partner responsible for bookkeeping. In-time, potentially bring these functions in-house and build a team
  • Review of payroll preparation. Processing monthly salaries, monthly settlement of PAYE and annual returns
  • Supporting statutory reporting requirements
  • Continual improvement of core processes and controls as we scale
  • Bank management including payment setup and authorisation approvals
  • Proactive cash flow monitoring and management of relevant levers (e.g., AR, AP, etc.)
  • Ownership of other G&A responsibilities such as office, IT, supplier management and procurement processes.

What we are looking for:

Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Relevant FP&A experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in management accounting
  • Tech start-up / scale-up experience (SaaS is preferable, however non-essential)
  • Xero experience preferred but non-essential
  • Advanced Excel, strong modeller and good with data manipulation skills

Salary range:

£40,000 to £70,000 (based on experience)
