Your role:

The Research Manager is the main client contact on all insight projects. Management of research project teams is essential, as is the analysis and interpretation of data to best meet the client’s objectives. The individual must possess significant Market Research experience, ability to work independently as well as in a team and previous experience in consumer based research is essential.

Key responsibilities:

As Research Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for managing a range of fast paced research projects – across multiple international locations
  • Act as main point of contact for the client on practical issues through the life of the project
  • Management of project teams in order to meet project management and research objectives
  • Write persuasive research proposals – propose and justify methodology and cost
  • Key tasks: client briefs; proposal writing; input into project design and implementation; managing day to day projects; providing actionable feedback to Director; presentation preparation
  • Writing of guides / questionnaires to a high standard requiring senior level consultation rather than rewrite
  • Preparation of presentations to a high standard requiring little or no input from senior management
  • Ability to present findings to clients at a high level with strategic recommendations
  • Provide support to senior management with the day-to-day with regard to the management of junior staff;
  • Develop and maintain positive team performance and attitude

What we are looking for:

Qualifications and Technical Skills Required

  • Educated to at least degree level or equivalent
  • Significant Market Research experience (4 years plus)
  • Good appreciation/understanding of marketing / client issues
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Previous experience working with FMCG companies is an advantage

Competencies Required

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi task
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Previous experience of managing a team an advantage but not essential
  • Commercially focused
  • Presentation experience
