Your role:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our company's sales pipeline. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and qualify potential leads, and effectively nurture them into sales opportunities. This is a critical front-line position, serving as the first point of contact between our company and potential customers. Over time, we expect to build our Sales Development Team and resulting in additional team management opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

As Sales Development Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead Prospecting: Conducting research to identify potential customers and target accounts within our focus markets (UK, US & Europe) and industries (Consumer Goods & Services).
  • Outreach & Engagement: Initiating contact with potential leads through various multi-channel contact strategies; including email, phone, and social media platforms. You will articulate the value proposition of our products/services and establish a strong initial connection.
  • Qualification: Engaging with leads to understand their needs, pain points, and requirements. Assessing their level of interest and readiness to engage in further discussions with our sales team.
  • Lead Nurturing: Continuously nurturing and maintaining relationships with qualified leads who are not yet ready to convert. Providing valuable information, resources, and insights to keep the leads engaged and interested in our offerings.
  • Meeting Closing: Scheduling qualified leads for further discussions and appointments with our New Business Team. Ensuring all relevant information is accurately passed on to the Sales Team and meetings materialise.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies, share insights, and optimise lead generation efforts. Be dynamic and pursue test and learn initiatives to prove new cutting-edge approaches.
  • Data Management: Recording and maintaining accurate lead data and activities within our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date sales pipeline.

What we are looking for:

Qualifications and technical skills required

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrable extensive sales development experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is essential
  • Previous experience of lead prospecting, outreach, and engagement
  • Good appreciation/understanding of sales techniques and lead generation processes
  • Previous experience working with Consumer Product Goods Companies / FMCG companies
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools
